I LOST MY HEART IN VRINDAVAN

I LOST MY HEART IN VRINDAVAN

The first Philosophy of God in Vrindavan

Vrindavan :-  "Where God still Lives"

The town stands on the original forest of Vrindavana where the Hindu deity Krishna spent his childhood, on the banks of the Yamuna river. Numerous events are said to have occurred here: this is where Krishna did the divine dance with Gopis (Maharaas), spread the message of divine love with his lover Radha, stole the clothes of the bathing cowgirl maidens (gopis), and vanquished various demons. Consequently, it is a major pilgrimage destination for Hindus, and features by some counts as many as 5000 temples.

If you are in Vrindavan and want to visit in 1 day , you can follow the mention timing.

ISKCON Temple :- ISKCON (International Society on Krishna Consciousness)

Enter this 1975 built temple, its domes and flooring carved in white marble, and the second thing you’ll notice after its grandiose, is the impeccable hygiene in the temple. At the open hall outside the sanctum sanatorium, a number of foreigners and Indians wearing saffron and white clothes are enjoying the high of Hare Rama Hare Krishna kirtan that goes on for 24 hours a day. The trance of their chanting, amplified by simple mridanga and harmonium is powerful and spiritual and not merely religious. You may visit the ISKCON Temple in morning or evening (it’s closed during afternoon hours), but don’t miss the aarti and kirtan. In summer, the evening aarti goes on from 04:30 pm to 8:45 pm; in winter, it is from 04:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

NIDHIVAN

Nidhivan in the Land of Krishna, Vrindavan is a place full of mystery. If the devotees and locals are to be believed, not only Lord Krishna visits this place but he also conducts his Ras Leela every single night here. Nidhivan has a palace inside called Rang Mahal. It is the place where the bed made of sandalwood is prepared for Lord Krishna each night. On the bedside are kept a jar filled with water, a Neem Daatun (to brush teeth) and Pan ( betel leaf with areca nut). It is believed that once the doors are opened in the morning, the bed looks as if someone has slept in it, whereas the water in jar is also looked consumed and so does the Pan and the Neem Datun. There have been incidents that even the premises of Nidhivan is vacated in the evening, some have gone a bit far and decided to remain hidden to watch the mysterious Ras Leela.Although the houses built in the vicinity of Nidhivan have access to the view of the area but no one dares to attempt to do so. It is said, those who attempted to peek at the gardens post 8pm also lost their mental balance or sight. Therefore, many people have sealed their windows with bricks and those who have an open window, also close them down after bell of the evening aarti.

After constructing of temple, Goswamis transferred the idol to this temple. Bankey means “Bent at three places” and Bihari means “Supreme enjoyer”. The deity was then taken from Nidhivan and placed in a new temple constructed in 1862 AD. This new structure is an architectural marvel and pays tribute to the glory of the Lord with its magnificence and splendor.
